We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to design, analyze, and support the development of mechanical and structural systems for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). The role involves performing stress, thermal, and kinematic analyses, developing CAD models and engineering documentation, supporting prototyping and testing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure robust and reliable system performance. Your responsibilities will include: • Mechanical, structural and installation design work related to Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) and relevant sub-systems. • Sizing components for design of mechanical systems. • Performs analysis related to the structural integrity for UAS flight critical systems. (Stress, weight and balance, kinematics, ETC) • Performs engineering tests related to the design of UAS. (Thermal, stress, weight and balance, kinematics, ETC) • Preparation of engineering document (Design report, Weight & Balance report, stress analysis report, engineering drawings, ETC) • Preparation of CAD model and engineering drawings for Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) and relevant sub-systems. • Preparation of 3D printed parts (Additive Manufacturing) for prototypes • Configuration control of design data in accordance with process • Backup for deployment for UAS operations (weekdays & weekends).). • Support for operations in providing CFMS code for flight (weekdays & weekends) • Liaising with vendors on fabrication/design work. Requirements Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering.Hands-on experience with FEA tools CAD software proficiency in design and mechanical drawings (SolidWorks) Product design or Industrial design experience preferred Basic skill and knowledge to perform stress and thermal analysis Experience in manufacturing processes such as 3D printing, CNC machining and injection molding, etc. Able to support overseas deployment if required. Able to communicate, read and generate technical report in English. Good communication skills and teamwork.
