Together, We Can Make A Significant Impact We are looking for a skilled Assistant / Principal Electrical & Electronics Engineer to drive the design and development of advanced electronics for next-generation laser and electro-optical systems. In this role, you will lead the development of high-voltage power supplies, laser drivers, and control electronics, while ensuring robust system performance from prototyping through integration and validation. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions in a dynamic R&D environment. Be Part of Our Success Lead the design, development, and integration of high-voltage power supplies, laser drivers, thermal controllers, safety interlocks and other control electronics for advanced laser and electro-optics systems. Perform prototyping, testing, integration of sensors, diagnostics and safety modules. Perform PCB design, simulation and layout reviews, and troubleshooting during prototyping, integration and system validation. Ensure compliance with EMI/EMC standards and manage signal integrity for designs. Collaborate with system, mechanical, software and optical engineers to ensure electrical and electronic designs meet performance and operational requirements. Develop and maintain comprehensive and accurate technical documentation, including design records, test reports, and validation data, ensuring compliance with configuration management and industry standards. Qualities We Value Knowledge in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 5 years of experience in power electronics and control systems for advanced laser or electro-optics systems. Strong background in PCB design and simulation tools (Altium, OrCAD, PSpice, LTSpice). Familiar with embedded systems, analog and digital circuits, and thermal management strategies. Deep understanding of laser drivers, power conditioning, and electronics for advanced laser or electro-optics systems is strongly preferred. Understanding laser safety standards and EMI/EMC best practices is a plus. Strong analytical and debugging skills for rapid development and testing cycles. Able to balance design robustness with rapid prototyping for R&D applications. Excellent documentation and system thinking for traceability and configuration control. Effective communicator with cross-discipline engineers to support integration and testing. Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams toward shared objectives. Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities in both lab and field settings. Team-Oriented Mindset: Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams toward shared objectives. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
