Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Diagnostic Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development and delivery of our in-house software application, the Diagnostic Expert System (DES). DES is designed to guide users in troubleshooting various system failures across vehicle platforms, with the objective of maximizing fleet operational readiness. This role requires strong analytical thinking, technical expertise, and the ability to develop structured diagnostic solutions. Key Responsibilities Acquire in-depth knowledge of vehicle platform systems and perform failure analysis to identify root causes and failure points. Develop and produce comprehensive troubleshooting procedures and diagnostic workflows for identified system failures. Collaborate and engage with system designers, engineers, and end-users to validate, review, and obtain acceptance of diagnostic solutions. Manage project timelines and ensure timely development and delivery of DES modules. Continuously stay updated on automotive technologies, diagnostic methodologies, and industry trends through ongoing learning and development. Requirements Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, or related discipline). Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and diagnostics. Experience or familiarity with failure analysis, root cause analysis (RCA), or troubleshooting methodologies. Ability to translate complex technical issues into clear, structured diagnostic procedures. Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with technical stakeholders. Proactive, adaptable, and able to work in a dynamic environment. Familiar with automotive electronics, CAN systems, or embedded systems. Knowledge of structured troubleshooting frameworks or technical documentation standards. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities Proficiency in technical writing and structured documentation Effective stakeholder management and communication skills Proven ability to manage projects and meet timelines Demonstrates a proactive and continuous learning mindset
