Position Snapshot Location: Islamabad, Pakistan Company: Nestlé Pakistan Job Type: Contractual (6 months) Experience: 10 - 12 years of experience in Public Affairs and Corporate Affairs. Qualification: Master’s Degree in International Relations, Public Policy, Public Administration is preferred. Position Summary Lead engagement & represent the organization to build relationships and drive public policy with relevant federal ministries (Climate Change, Food Security, Commerce, Finance & Foreign/Economic Affairs), national departments (Revenue, Environment, Tariff Commission, Telecom & Media Regulators etc) and local departments (Capital Authorities/ District Administration, Police etc). A Day in the Life of a Manager Public Policy & Governance… • Leading business and policies advocacy & engaging with national chamber networks and sectoral trade organizations/industrial associations for business policy and national tax matters. • Prepare policy briefs in collaboration with businesses for industry alignments for cross sector national campaigns. • Lead & maintain close relationships with multilateral institutions, diplomatic community, INGOs and policy thinktanks. • Engage and network strategically with print and electronic media in ICT/North, based on focus areas (Parliamentary/Senate committees on health, environment, commerce, finance and tax). • Serve as focal point for sustainability and CSV initiatives and explore partnership opportunities for stakeholder engagement in North/ICT in close collaboration with Head Office team. • Lead as focal person for all export markets advocacy and communications in close association with export business. • Provide all policy engagement, government & stakeholder engagement support for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the northern region. What will make you successful? 1. Good understanding of national regulations, policies and direction. 2. Familiarity with food business operations including manufacturing, quality, engineering, supply chain, sales, finance, legal, safety and security. 3. Deep understanding of influence networks and channel strategies. 4. Strong expertise in public policy, advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and government affairs. 5. Experience working with and within not-for-profit organizations. 6. Experience in media relations management. 7. Experience managing community, sustainability, and CSV projects. 8. Crisis management and change management experience is desirable. 10. Proficiency in IT, e-communications, and online publishing tools.
