What we offer you Medical, Rx, Dental, Disability, Life Insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts Retirement Savings Plan Education Assistance Bonus Plan Eligibility Parental Leave Starting Rate of Pay: $20.00/hour Shifts Available and Hours: Night Shift 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM 12-hour rotating schedule, same EOWE schedule Shift Premium: $2.00/hour extra for applicable shifts What you will be doing Process, pack, band, tag and/or prepare aluminum extrusions according to customer specifications and production requirements Operate stretching equipment according to order specifications Load aluminum logs using a crane or Combi-Lift Use measurement tools and visual inspection to verify product quality and identify damage Work closely with Press, Saw and Packing team members to meet productivity and production goals Follow work instructions, safety procedures and PPE requirements What will make you successful? Required Education/Experience: No formal education or previous experience required Manufacturing experience is an asset Good communication skills in English (spoken and written) Preferred Skills/Qualifications: Basic computer skills, including the ability to navigate SCS and AS400 systems Ability to read and use a tape measure Basic mathematical skills Ability to recognize quality issues and potential hazards Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions Ability to work effectively in a team environment Ability to receive and respond positively to constructive feedback Ability to work a full 12-hour shift Ability to work in both hot and cold conditions Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling and repetitive movements Equal opportunities Hydro in North America is an Equal Opportunity Employer where all phases of employment are based strictly upon the qualifications of the individual as related to the work requirements of the position.
