Your Contribution You will lead manufacturing, engineering, and maintenance operations to ensure production excellence, continuous improvement, and achievement of business objectives while building a high-performing team and driving operational efficiency. Based on the original Assistant Plant Manager, this position supports plant management, manufacturing operations, engineering activities, KPI management, project execution, and organizational development. Act as a trusted partner to the Plant Manager, providing operational guidance and leading strategic improvement projects. Support local teams in bridging technical gaps for Japan-led projects, new product launches, and production transfers. Ensure daily plant operations achieve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost targets. Lead engineering, maintenance, and manufacturing improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, product quality, and cost effectiveness. Manage plant KPIs, projects, investments, and risk management activities to support business growth and operational excellence. Drive continuous improvement, change management, and problem-solving initiatives across the plant. Develop and coach team members, strengthen organizational capabilities, and promote a culture of safety, compliance, teamwork, and accountability. Your Experience & Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in plant engineering, manufacturing operations, production management, or plant leadership within an industrial environment. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, factory operations, project management, and continuous improvement methodologies. Experience with APQP, PPAP, risk assessment, equipment maintenance, and production system optimization is highly preferred. Proven leadership, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and team development skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment. Experience in automotive or industrial manufacturing is preferred. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, TPM, Six Sigma, or Industry 4.0 initiatives is an advantage. Good command of English and Thai, with the ability to communicate effectively with local and global stakeholders. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one.
