About the Role Provide Senior Mining Engineering expertise to safely deliver mine plans, ensuring production plans are practicable and executable for the mining operation. This role will work closely with operations, maintenance and HSEQT to provide technical support, drive plan compliance, optimise mining activities, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities Conduct mine planning, design, scheduling and drill and blast activities to support safe and efficient production outcomes. Provide technical engineering analysis and commercial support to optimise mining performance and decision-making. Maintain production reporting systems and contribute to budget, forecast and progress claim development. Engage with operations and project teams to drive plan compliance and achieve business objectives. Identify and drive improvement opportunities, contribute to engineering best practice and maintain a strong focus on safety. What You’ll Bring Tertiary Degree in Mining Engineering, or equivalent, with 4 to 5 years of practical experience & previous exposure to hard rock surface mining projects highly regarded Demonstrated experience in mine planning, design, scheduling and operational support within a mining environment. Ability to provide technical leadership, influence stakeholders and support effective decision-making. Strong analytical, planning, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
