Position Description Modine is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join our Information Security team. Reporting to the IT Manager, Information Security Architecture, Engineering and Operations, this role designs, implements, administers, and continuously improves Modine's security technologies and controls. This is a hands-on engineering role with architectural influence: the person in this seat will own critical security platforms day-to-day while also contributing to security standards, architecture reviews, and technical roadmaps. The role partners closely with infrastructure, application, and project teams, and plays a part in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other enterprise transformation projects. Key Responsibilities Security Engineering & Operations Design, implement, administer, and support enterprise security technologies across: Endpoint detection and response (EDR) Privileged access management (PAM) and identity security Email security Cloud identity and directory security Vulnerability management Security service edge (SSE) / secure access service edge (SASE) Security monitoring and logging platforms Manage platform upgrades, integrations, migrations, and deployments. Troubleshoot complex security issues; provide advanced technical support. Participate in incident response, threat hunting, and vulnerability remediation. Develop automation to increase security effectiveness and efficiency. Security Architecture & Governance Conduct security architecture reviews for infrastructure, application, cloud, and business projects. Contribute to Architecture Design Documents (ADDs), security standards, and technical roadmaps. Security Program Support Maintain cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures. Evaluate emerging security technologies and recommend improvements. Collaboration Act as a technical advisor to Information Security leadership, IT teams, and business stakeholders. Partner with infrastructure, EUC, application, and business teams on secure solution delivery. Communicate technical risks and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences. Required Education & Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience. 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, architecture, or security operations. Hands-on administration experience in at least several of the following categories. Specific vendor experience is not required : Endpoint protection / EDR Privileged access management (PAM) and identity security Email security Cloud identity and directory security Vulnerability management SSE/SASE or equivalent network security edge platforms Working knowledge of IAM, PAM, EDR, email security, cloud security, network security, vulnerability management, and security monitoring/incident response. Strong analytical and problem-solving ability. Recommended Qualifications CISSP, CISM, CCSP, GIAC, or other relevant vendor-neutral or vendor security certification. Experience creating architecture design documents, security standards, or technical roadmaps. Experience conducting security architecture reviews, threat modeling, or risk assessments. Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, or IEC 62443. Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, or large-scale technology transformations. Experience securing hybrid cloud environments (Azure/M365 or equivalent). Familiarity with security automation, orchestration, and API integrations. Experience with SIEM, SOAR, or security analytics platforms. Experience supporting audits or regulatory/compliance initiatives (e.g., SOX, GDPR). Why Choose Modine?
