We are a team of more than 1000 employees in 11 countries worldwide – a group of adventurers and dreamers, mountaineers, looking for their next peak. At Salewa we are looking for a Product Developer Apparel who will be involved in managing the development process of technical apparel products, from concept phase to salesman sample production, ensuring alignment with design intent, quality standards, timing, and cost targets. Working closely with Design, Product Management, and external suppliers, this role supports the realization of innovative and high-performance products in line with the brand’s positioning and consumer expectations. Tasks and responsibilities Translate design concepts and aesthetic requirements into detailed technical information within the PLM system, ensuring all data is regularly updated and accurate Maintain complete and updated records related to assigned styles throughout the development process Support R&D activities by providing garment construction insights useful for fabric and trims development Manage prototypes and samples, ensuring Salewa quality standards, fit consistency, and on-time deliveries Collaborate with external pattern engineers to transfer construction requirements and evaluate fitting and construction during all sampling stages Work closely with garment manufacturers across different regions, supporting them during development phases and visiting suppliers when required Coordinate and support field testing and washing test activities for assigned products Monitor product development timelines and proactively follow up on critical milestones Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management and Design teams during all collection development stages Support continuous improvement of product construction, fit, and functionality Profile At least 3-5 years of experience in the textile industry, preferably developing technical sports apparel Strong understanding of garment construction and textile supply chain processes Knowledge of apparel product development workflows and sampling processes Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational and analytical skills Ability to work in a cross-functional and international environment Very good Italian and English skills Availability to travel to Bolzano HQ, suppliers, trade shows, and field activities Workplace: Montebelluna, IT Annual Gross Base Salary Range : 28.000€ - 40.000€ + additional target bonus of 5-10% of base salary Compensation for this role is based on skills, experience, qualifications, and job-related responsibilities.
