Hatch is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team, known for delivering technically robust and innovative solutions across complex mining, energy, and infrastructure projects. In this role, you will apply your deep electrical engineering expertise to lead the development of high-quality designs and studies, contributing to projects that span the full lifecycle, from early-stage concept and feasibility through to detailed design, construction, and commissioning. This is an opportunity for a technically strong engineer who enjoys both hands-on delivery and influencing broader project outcomes. You will play a key role within multidisciplinary teams, providing trusted technical input while also mentoring and developing junior engineers, helping to build capability and maintain Hatch’s high standards of engineering excellence. Key Focus Areas: Lead the development of electrical designs, studies, and calculations from concept through to detailed design Provide technical oversight and guidance during engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases Contribute to project estimates, schedules, and discipline inputs within multi-disciplinary teams Support and participate in formal design and engineering review processes Provide on-site technical support during construction and commissioning activities Act as a technical mentor, coaching and supporting the development of junior engineers About You You hold a degree in Electrical Engineering and bring 5+ years’ relevant experience, ideally with CPEng (or working towards). You have strong technical depth in power systems and electrical design within mining, energy, infrastructure, or similar heavy industry environments, including experience performing electrical studies such as load flow, arc flash, and protection grading using tools like ETAP, SKM PTW or PowerCAD. You are confident leading technical work, engaging with stakeholders, and communicating complex information clearly. You also take a proactive approach to mentoring and developing others, contributing to a strong and capable engineering team. Why join us? If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
