Genesis Design Center - Design Engineer WHAT YOU WILL DO Design and engineering body structure, advanced packaging for concept programs. Understand the requirements and create feasibility studies based on the US Designs. Foster communication between the Engineering Department in Korea and the US Design Team. Find solutions to help Designers meet the production program engineering requirements. Coordinated with the Studio, completing feasibility studies for interior trim and seating. Create Design Guides for the Studio considering design needs and package requirements. Resolve design feasibility issues alongside the designers for all studio programs. Analyze concepts through both 3D digital simulation and physical prototypes. Study and be aware of New Technologies/Structures that could be implemented into Design proposals. Research new developments in: Platform, Engineering & Emerging Technology that could influence the Design of future cars. Proficient in CATIA V5 generating surface data. Candidates should be willing to participate in a CATIA V5 evaluation that will last about 1 hour. WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering 5+ years experience working in Automotive Engineering, prefer Studio Experience Candidates applying for positions with Hyundai-Kia must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
