Summary: Establish product ownership for optics components and drive successful New Product Introduction (NPI) into production. This role will be responsible for managing the product lifecycle, driving manufacturing and product performance improvements, and working closely with cross-functional teams and customers to achieve targets for yield, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), On-Time Delivery (OTD), and customer satisfaction. Job Description: Take ownership of the product lifecycle, from RFQ management in collaboration with Sales & Marketing and Operations to meet customer requirements. Drive timely RFQ closure by tracking and reporting Turnaround Time (TAT) and coordinating with relevant stakeholders to meet targets. Lead and ensure the successful execution of Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), First Lot Production (FLP), and First Article Inspection (FAI), ensuring all customer requirements are fulfilled. Oversee the setup and maintenance of the Bill of Materials (BOM) and manufacturing routing for assigned products, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely execution in line with TAT targets. Drive product and manufacturing performance improvements through yield enhancement, scrap reduction, COGS optimization, On-Time Delivery (OTD), and Parts Per Million (PPM) improvement. Manage product concessions and ensure compliance with internal processes and customer requirements in collaboration with Sales & Marketing and relevant stakeholders. Oversee product-related packaging, raw materials, tooling, jigs, and fixtures to ensure readiness for production and customer requirements. Act as the key interface between the company and customers for product-related technical and operational matters. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in weekly status reviews to monitor and drive improvements in FAT, yield, scrap, OTD, and other key product performance metrics. Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities throughout the product lifecycle to improve product quality, cost, delivery, and overall customer satisfaction. Job Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Optics, Optical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in optics, opto-mechanical, optoelectronic systems, or related manufacturing environments. Strong understanding of optical components, their functions, and applications. Hands-on experience in jig and fixture design. Proficient in SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD. Hands-on experience with optical testing, measurement, and metrology systems. Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles, with the ability to apply them to process improvement and operational excellence. Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and customers in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
