Function You are responsible for the Civil Engineering part within the multidisciplinary projects for the high-voltage grid, from the definition phase through to the completion of the project. This service is specifically in charge of the engineering studies and technical support during the realization of the civil works for substations and high-voltage installations. Your tasks: Developing technical solutions during the design phase. Providing input for drawing up the project budgets and schedules. Managing, coordinating, monitoring, and supervising the permitting and execution studies, including environmental studies, structural stability studies of the civil constructions, and the preparation of architectural and execution plans. Informing the designers during the detailed design phase about the technical needs of the project, thus ensuring correct execution of the scope. Directing and supervising external engineering partners. Preparing the technical procurement dossier for contracting the contractors. Providing technical support during the tendering and execution phase of the project. Being ultimately responsible for the quality of the civil engineering studies. Collecting feedback and organizing evaluations after completed studies to ensure continuous improvement of quality. Coordinating and reporting to the multidisciplinary project team. Your Profile You hold a degree in Civil Engineering or have equivalent experience. You are fluent in Dutch and have a good command of French. You possess strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach. You attach great importance to quality. You have a strong affinity for civil engineering techniques, soil mechanics, and an understanding of structural stability calculations. You are able to work on several projects simultaneously. You are solution-oriented and proactive, always proposing solutions or alternatives to move projects forward. Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
