Location: [[location_obj]] Division: [[businessUnit_obj]] Job Posting Title: [[title]] Time Type: [[cust_timetype]] POSITION SUMMARY The SAP EWM Operator is essential for executing day-to-day warehouse operations utilizing SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM). This position acts as the crucial link between physical material handling, including receiving, put away, picking, shipping, and digital inventory accuracy. The operator leverages RF barcodes scanners and industrial terminals to process tasks in real time, ensuring maximum operational throughput, inventory integrity, and order fulfillment accuracy. As part of the DSV team, associates are expected to meet company objectives in the areas of performance, safety, and quality. Associates are expected to comply with all corporate and site-specific policies. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Operations Acts as the secondary support of the client’s systems solutions for the user community Works to identify and resolve system issues on floor pertaining to all functions Actively works with EWM Super User to come up with systemic solutions Will actively work with IT to resolve issues that cannot be solved locally via detailed incidents Key Responsibilities Inbound & Outbound Operations (RF Terminal Execution): Execute inbound receiving activities: unload shipments, verify physical quantities against ASN/PO documents, and generate goods receipts in SAP EWM. Perform systematic put away using RF handheld devices according to SAP EWM automated slotting and bin location strategies. Execute wave picking and order fulfillment tasks utilizing voice picking or RF scan workflows (FIFO/FEFO rules). Conduct packing, staging, shipping confirmation, and goods issue postings for outbound customer and transfer orders. Inventory Control & Bin Management Perform physical inventory checks, continuous cycle counting, and inventory adjustments directly within SAP EWM. Monitor storage bins, storage types, handling units (HUs), and stock categories (e.g., Unrestricted, Quality Inspection, Blocked). Identify physical vs. System inventory discrepancies and execute corrective replenishment or bin to bin transfers. Manage batch tracking, serial number assignment, and catch-weight verification where required. Exception Handling, Safety & Equipment Maintenance Troubleshoot real-time EWM warehouse task exceptions (e.g., bin locks, quantity shortfalls, damaged stock reporting). Process customer returns, blocked stock relocation, scrap processing, and quarantine hold workflows per SOPs. Safely operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including forklifts, reach trucks, and electric pallet jacks. Maintain clean and organized work zones in accordance with 5S principles and safety compliance standards (OSHA). Key SAP EWM System & Hardware Ecosystem Understand : Honeywell/ Zebra RF Handheld Scanners, Zebra Thermal Label Printers, Forklift Mounted Terminals. Core Modules & Capabilities: SAP S/4HANA EWM, RF Framework (ITSmobile/Fiori), Physical Inventory, Slotting & Rearrangement, Labor Management Integration, Yard Management. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES N/A QUALIFICATIONS & SKILL REQUIREMENTS System Knowledge: Minimum 1-3 years of direct operational experience utilizing SAP EWM or SAP WM. RF Scanning Proficiency: Hands on experience with industrial handheld barcode scanners, vehicle mounted terminals, and mobile printers. Warehouse Experience: 2 years in a high-volume distribution center, manufacturing plant, or 3PL logistics center. MHE Certification: Active Certification (or ability to certify) Forklift, Order Picker, or Reach Truck Operations. Physical Demands: Ability to lift to 50lbs, stand/walk for extended shifts, and work in varying temperature environments. Preferred Skills & Competencies SAP S/4HANA EWM/ Wave Management/ Handling Unit (HU) Mgmt/ Cycle Counting/ (FIFO/ FEFO picking)/ RF Transaction UI/ 5S Methodology/ Cross Docking. Understand core SAP EWM concepts: Storage Bins, Warehouse Tasks (WT), Warehouse Orders (WO), Packaging Specifications. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with keen attention to numerical detail. Basic Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and standard workplace communications. Language Skills English (reading, writing, verbal) Interpersonal communication and language skills (e.g., listening to others, speaking to others, reading, and writing). Communication (facilitation skills and very mature communication skills to be able to communicate to all levels in the organization). Basic to Intermediate skills needed. Education & Experience: Either Four-year degree in a computer related field or 2-year degree and relevant experience is basic requirement Minimum of 1 year of job related/relevant experience. 1-3 years of experience is preferred. Experience dealing with end users, vendors, and clients. End to end understanding of the business intelligence and all the components required to run a BI environment.
