Location : Lancaster, TX Division : Road Transport US Job Posting Title : Supervisor, Driver Recruiting Time Type : [[cust_timetype]] Summary The Supervisor, Driver Recruiting is responsible for leading the day-to-day activities and performance of the Driver Recruiting team while maintaining an active recruiting workload for critical, high-priority, and hard-to-fill driver positions. This role provides direct leadership, coaching, development, and operational guidance to Driver Recruiters to ensure recruiting goals, service levels, compliance requirements, and business expectations are consistently achieved. The Supervisor serves as a key liaison between Talent Acquisition, Operations, Safety, Compliance, and People & Organization (P&O), partnering across functions to support workforce planning, streamline hiring processes, resolve recruiting challenges, and deliver a positive candidate and hiring manager experience. This position is responsible for monitoring recruiting performance and hiring metrics, maintaining compliance with applicable DOT and FMCSA requirements, improving recruiting processes, and supporting strategic driver hiring initiatives across the organization. As a working supervisor, this position is expected to lead by example through active recruiting, provide hands-on support during periods of high hiring demand, and develop the capability and effectiveness of the Driver Recruiting team through ongoing coaching, training, and performance management. Duties & Responsibilities Supervise the day-to-day activities of Driver Recruiters, providing direction, coaching, development, and support to achieve individual and team recruiting objectives. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance discussions, coaching sessions, and development planning with assigned team members. Establish and monitor recruiter expectations related to productivity, candidate activity, hiring results, responsiveness, service levels, and quality. Monitor recruiting metrics and team performance, identify trends or performance gaps, and implement appropriate coaching or corrective actions. Train and onboard new Driver Recruiters on recruiting processes, systems, compliance requirements, sourcing strategies, and established best practices. Support performance management activities, including performance reviews, goal setting, development planning, and ongoing performance feedback. Foster a collaborative, accountable, high-performance, and customer-focused recruiting environment. Maintain an active recruiting workload for critical, high-priority, high-volume, or difficult-to-fill CDL and non-CDL driver positions. Source, screen, interview, and engage qualified driver candidates while maintaining appropriate candidate pipelines to support current and anticipated staffing needs. Review recruiter pipelines and recruiting activity to ensure candidates receive timely communication, follow-up, and movement through the hiring process. Assist recruiters with candidate escalations, objections, offer discussions, and closing strategies as needed. Partner with Operations leadership to understand staffing requirements, establish recruiting priorities, and align hiring activity with operational needs and timelines. Build and maintain strong working relationships with Operations, Safety, Compliance, P&O, and other stakeholders involved in the driver hiring process. Ensure driver recruiting and hiring activities comply with applicable DOT and FMCSA requirements, company policies, established hiring standards, and employment regulations. Review and audit recruiting and hiring documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established requirements. Ensure required driver qualification and pre-employment processes, including background investigations, motor vehicle records (MVRs), drug testing, DOT physicals, Pre-Employment Screening Program (PSP) reports, employment history, and other applicable qualification requirements, are completed appropriately. Partner with Safety, Compliance, and P&O to address candidate qualification issues, hiring exceptions, compliance concerns, and recruiting-related escalations. Identify opportunities to improve recruiting workflows, recruiter productivity, hiring cycle times, candidate communication, and the overall candidate experience. Analyze recruiting activity and hiring data to identify trends, evaluate recruiting effectiveness, and support data-driven staffing decisions. Prepare recruiting reports, dashboards, and hiring updates and communicate progress, challenges, and staffing risks to leadership. Support hiring events, recruiting campaigns, job fairs, community outreach, referral initiatives, and other driver sourcing activities. Partner with Employer Branding and other stakeholders on driver recruitment marketing, advertising, and branding initiatives. Support the implementation and optimization of recruiting technology, systems, automation, and process improvement initiatives. Participate in workforce planning discussions and special projects related to driver recruiting, staffing, retention, and organizational growth. Qualifications & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Transportation, Logistics, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 5 years of driver recruiting or related transportation recruiting experience, preferably within a high-volume environment. 1–2 years of previous supervisory, team lead, lead recruiter, or other demonstrated recruiting leadership experience preferred. Demonstrated experience recruiting CDL drivers within transportation, trucking, logistics, or similar high-volume operating environments. Working knowledge of DOT and FMCSA driver qualification and hiring requirements. Experience with driver recruiting and qualification platforms such as Tenstreet strongly preferred. Experience working with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms; SAP SuccessFactors experience preferred. Experience using recruiting data, metrics, and KPIs to monitor performance and support hiring decisions. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint. Business fluency in English required. Spanish is a plus. Skills & Competencies Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, motivate, and hold team members accountable for performance. Strong knowledge of driver recruiting practices, sourcing strategies, candidate engagement, and high-volume recruiting processes. Strong understanding of recruiting KPIs, including pipeline activity, time-to-fill, candidate conversion, recruiter productivity, and hiring results. Ability to balance direct recruiting responsibilities with team leadership, coaching, reporting, and operational priorities.
