The Impact You'll Make As our Engineer, Sustainability, you’ll play a key role in enabling credible product environmental transparency for RAC RD&E by supporting data collection, verification, and coordination required for Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) development. Your impact? Product lifecycle data will be more complete, accurate, and ready for LCA assessment and EPD creation, helping internal teams and customers make better sustainability decisions. You’ll collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, logistics, product management, and regional/global stakeholders while taking ownership of product data coordination, validation, documentation, and continuous improvement of sustainability data processes. What You’ll Be Doing Coordinate with cross-functional teams to collect primary data for LCA and EPD work, including bill of material, material grade, component weight, production process, supplier location, logistics, energy consumption, and end-of-life inputs. Organize, validate, and cross-check sustainability data for completeness, accuracy, consistency, and alignment with stakeholder inputs before LCA modelling and EPD documentation. Support product grouping, data gap identification, input sheet preparation, and basic analysis required for LCA software or EPD workflow. Maintain documentation, reporting templates, and a centralized database of verified inputs to improve repeatability and reduce effort in future assessments. Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying bottlenecks in the data collection process and sharing knowledge on LCA, EPD, environmental reporting, and sustainable design practices. What We're Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline. Basic understanding of sustainability reporting, product lifecycle thinking, LCA, EPD, or willingness to build capability in these areas. Strong data handling and analysis capability using MS Excel; exposure to Power BI and LCA tools such as GaBi or similar software will be an advantage. Ability to work with cross-functional and cross-regional stakeholders, follow up on inputs, validate details, and communicate clearly in written and verbal English. Detail-oriented mindset with strong ownership, problem-solving, documentation discipline, and a continuous improvement approach What You'll Get from Us We promote from within and support your learning with mentoring, training, and access to global opportunities. You’ll have flexibility, autonomy, and support to do your best work while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Your well-being matters to us. We strive to create an inclusive work environment where people of all backgrounds are respected, and valued for who they are. You’ll receive benefits like 13th salary, annual bonus, paid vacation, pension plans, personal insurance, and more. These vary by country and contract, but they’re worth asking about—we think they’re pretty great. Ready to Make a Difference? If this role excites you, we’d love to hear from you! That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.

When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
