Your tasks Assuring of Robust, Cost-effective and quality designs in time for the Drives product area. Assuring compliance to the specifications according to internal and external guidelines. Liaise with Product groups in Headquarters to understand specific Design requests. Independently think and create Design concepts (3D & 2D layouts) to meet customer/internal product demands in line with Brose Design guidelines. Independent execution of basic technical calculations (e.g. GD &T, Stack-up) and simulations (e.g. deformation, loading, kinematics). Initiation of more complex calculations together with specialists (e.g. FEA, Mold flow) and interpretation of results together with specialists. Ability to interact independently with suppliers to create prototypes to verify generated new design concepts. Ability to define/dictate Test and Measurement methods to verify the prototypes from the supplier. Collaboration at creation and enhancement of Design FMEAs. Possess Good understanding of manufacturing processes and construction methods about Automotive Drives & Actuator systems. Possess broad knowledge about materials used for Drives & Actuator systems and its components (e.g. Plastic, Sheet metal, Aluminium Die-cast). Ensuring of continuous room for improvement: Gaining and documentation of results (e.g. Feedback from customers, benchmarking, contacts from fairs, return of know-how from products in series production) and assuring implementation in future developments Your Profile 3-7 Years experience in Design and development of Drives/Actuator systems. Experience in Automotive Industry preferred. Proficient in CATIA-V5, EV6. Proficient in GD&T, Stack-up calculation. Experience in Designing Thermal & Powertrain systems (Climate Compressor, Turbocharger, Oil/Coolant Pumps, HVAC). Experience in designing Scroll compressor, Impeller, Gerotor is highly advantageous.
