Bilfinger UK are seeking a motivated and experienced Project Engineer to join our team in Edinburgh, working throughout the city centre. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management within the light and heavy rail industry. Key Responsibilities: - Plan, schedule, and execute engineering projects efficiently and effectively. - Manage resourcing and develop project timelines to ensure on-time delivery. - Oversee and manage subcontractors, ensuring delivery according to set standards. - Conduct performance reviews and monitor progress against KPIs. - Ensure compliance with industry regulations, governance, and health and safety standards. - Liaison with clients and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives and expectations. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
