We are currently seeking a Methods Engineer to join our project team for the construction of a large-scale luxury hotel and residential development in the Cayman Islands. Reporting to the Construction Management Team, you will be responsible for defining, optimizing, and coordinating construction methods to ensure technical performance, adherence to project schedules, and safe execution of operations. Key Responsibilities : Construction Methods • Develop detailed execution schedules for structural works, construction methods, and equipment deployment. • Define construction methodologies, project phasing, work cycles, and execution procedures. • Prepare site installation studies and lifting equipment plans. • Identify equipment requirements, including formwork systems, shoring, safety equipment, lifting devices, and concrete placement solutions. • Participate in the technical and economic evaluation of construction methodologies and solutions. • Monitor and coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers of specialized construction equipment. • Supervise Methods Technicians and CAD Designers. • Perform technical risk assessments and support construction teams in implementing selected solutions. Temporary Works • Design and approve temporary works, including scaffolding, excavation support systems, shoring, and temporary structures. • Prepare temporary works drawings and monitor compliance throughout execution. • Design and specify temporary access, protection, and stability systems. • Coordinate the installation and dismantling of temporary works with construction teams. • Ensure compliance with local regulations and safety requirements for temporary structures. • Manage budgets and schedules related to temporary works resources. What if it were you? • You hold a degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent discipline and have at least 5 years of experience in Construction Methods on major building projects. Experience on hospitality, high-end residential, or luxury developments would be highly valued. • You have a strong knowledge of concrete construction techniques, formwork systems, shoring solutions, and lifting operations. You also possess proven expertise in the design and management of temporary works. • You are proficient in construction sequencing studies, site organization, and project planning. You are also comfortable using planning tools and associated technical software. • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential. Knowledge of French would be considered an asset.
