We are currently seeking a Building Envelope Engineer to join the construction of a large-scale luxury hotel and residential development in the Cayman Islands, currently in the preparatory works phase. Reporting to the Building Envelope Manager, you will be involved in the supervision and coordination of the building envelope works, including roofing, glazing, railing systems, curtain walls, stucco, and other façade systems. Key Responsibilities • Ensure the technical and operational follow-up of all building envelope works. • Monitor compliance of works with project requirements and quality standards. • Review and monitor shop drawings, execution studies, technical submittals, and contractor documentation. • Participate in the coordination of interfaces with other trades and disciplines. • Carry out site inspections and monitor the close-out of non-conformities and punch list items. • Participate in testing, commissioning activities, and handover operations. • Prepare progress reports and ensure the administrative follow-up of your scope of work. • Ensure compliance with HSE and quality requirements on site. What if it were you? • You hold a degree in Building Engineering, Civil Engineering, or an equivalent discipline, and have at least 5 years of experience in construction supervision, site management, or execution monitoring on building projects. Experience on hospitality, high-end residential, or luxury developments is highly valued. • You have a strong understanding of façade systems, roofing, waterproofing, and external joinery systems. • You are proficient in Microsoft Office applications and construction management software such as MS Project, AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent tools. • You are recognized for your autonomy and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams. • Well organized and detail oriented, you possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential. Knowledge of French would be considered an asset. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
