Long Description Responsibilities: Reads, interprets and follows blueprints, sketches, and product/engineering specifications Set up and and operate CNC OD and ID grind equipment with minimal supervision on a Studer grinding machine. Make adjustments as required to maintain print specifications Grind of spline shafts and aircraft gears holding tolerances of .0001” - .0005” Maintain proper documentation of SPC data and participate in certified operator program. Inspect faces and diameters using micrometers, gages and amps Perform in-process and last piece inspection using micrometers, calipers, comparators, various gauges. Perform operator maintenance. Perform the required measurements to assure product quality Notify your Leader of all nonconforming product Other duties as assigned Requirements: Mechanical aptitude a plus Working knowledge of Inspection Devices and Instruments Ability to translate prints along with understanding of GD&T Experience using Studer OD Grinder, FANUC controls using G code Blueprint reading skills Shop math skills Proficiency in the use of a wide variety of precision measuring tools are required. Ability to utilize visual comparator and Precision Gear Check Equipment
