Senior Security Operations Engineer – Endpoint Protection Do you want to be part of a team providing one of the most successful engineering access control solutions in the market? What you would do as our Senior Security Operations Engineer You will assist in operational delivery for all Assa Abloy IT Infrastructure services globally, managing incidents, requests, acting on monitoring alerts, and developing services through teamwork with both our internal teams and external partners. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to suggest improvements to key global Group Center services, becoming an interaction point that helps move solutions forward. You will also partner with our internal customers and external strategic stakeholders to increase IT infrastructure quality and efficiency, as well as plan for future growth. You will play an important role as a point of escalation and in gathering feedback and requirements from customers. You will contribute to driving a standard, secure network infrastructure design and architecture aligned with relevant policies. Your scope of work will include ensuring that processes and routines are clearly defined and documentation is accurately updated. You would also: Work as a team with internal and external experts to continuously improve security and optimize operations Develop, implement, and monitor relevant metrics for operations, and provide reports to customers Process, organize, assess, and assist in contextualizing incident indicators Use knowledge of common attacker techniques and business processes to develop and refine queries supporting the identification of malicious activities Provide incident assessment to assist Incident Response activities Profile adversaries and develop collection and exploitation strategies to meet intelligence requirements Proactively participate in Cyber Security projects within the organization Monitor and manage applications within the Cyber Security scope Assist the ASSA ABLOY group with security assessments of newly acquired companies Review collected logs to identify potential issues and explore ways to improve infrastructure performance Test and run deployment of new security solutions within the ASSA ABLOY group Manage permissions for Cyber Security toolsets Participate in self-development courses within Cyber Security Contribute to threat intelligence processes within the ASSA ABLOY group Perform various security operations, including threat intelligence processes Use advanced data-informed tools to identify emerging threat patterns and vulnerabilities Skills and experience you need We are looking for someone with: 5+ years of overall IT experience, including at least 2+ years in security operations or SOC Hands-on experience with EDR/XDR tools and/or network security (e.g., firewalls) Experience in Incident Response processes and methodologies Strong knowledge of network-level segmentation concepts and the ability to apply them in practice Knowledge in at least two of the following areas: network security, system administration, endpoint protection, forensics, or threat intelligence Practical experience managing IT server infrastructure Key skills Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written Ability to remain effective under pressure and handle complex situations Comfortable working in a fast-paced and changing environment Well-organized, proactive, and self-directed Ability to work as a team Highly appreciated Relevant certification (e.g., CySA+, SC-200, SC-500, CCNA or equivalent experience) What we offer Stable employment in a friendly, international environment Opportunities to communicate your ideas and help make ASSA ABLOY a great place to work Private medical care Multisport card Internal and external training opportunities Chill-out zone with PlayStation5 Pro and foosball Snacks available in the office Master Benefit program Referral bonus for bringing great people into our environment We review applications regularly, so don’t wait We are building diverse, inclusive teams, and encourage applications from everyone who can see themselves working with us. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.

When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
