Contribute to the communities where we reside. What’s new with Aptar The Boost Tooling Engineer is the plant expert on mold design, part design, and injection molding tooling systems. This role is responsible for the maintenance, performance, design, and implementation of new and existing molds at the Lincolnton site. Provides technical leadership and support across manufacturing, tooling, and new product development to drive efficiency, quality, and innovation. This is how your journey begins: Provide technical assistance in tool repair, engineering changes, and process issues related to tooling design. Lead root cause analysis of tooling-related issues and implement corrective and preventive actions. Design, develop, and implement new tooling solutions to support product development and manufacturing efficiency. Drive continuous improvement through tooling innovation, cost reduction, and performance optimization. Lead procurement activities for new and refurbished molds including vendor selection and development. Manage tooling projects to ensure product quality, timeline adherence, and customer satisfaction. Collaborate with New Product Development teams to influence mold design from a manufacturability and maintenance perspective. Support toolroom activities and oversee implementation of tooling modifications and upgrades. Evaluate production issues and coordinate with process, maintenance, and automation teams for short- and long-term solutions. Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. What will you bring in the journey: BS Degree in Engineering Technology or related discipline or equivalent experience. Minimum 5 years of experience in injection mold design and manufacturing. Strong knowledge of injection molding processes and tooling systems. Proficiency in 3D CAD software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with statistical analysis and process capability. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of OSHA and FDA regulations. Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
