The Quality Engineer is responsible for providing investigation and root cause analysis of product failures. Works closely with various Engineering functions (Reliability, Design, Manufacturing, etc) in a closed-loop, corrective-action process to improve product quality and reliability performance. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: • Responsible for working with cross-functional groups to coordinate strategies for meeting customer’s requirements in all quality areas that also serve AE’s business needs. • Failure Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, corrective and preventive action due customer (internal-external) complaints. • Define, design, develop and Implement SPC tools for assembly tools, manufacturing, and test fixtures. • Establish, implement, and maintain the quality management system. • Interact with Engineering and Operations to ensure an appropriate transfer of new products, PPAP. • Responsible for planning, organizing, and managing activities of receiving / outgoing quality functions. • Participates in Design Reviews to ensure compliance with reliability standards and customer requirements. • Review Engineering Change Requests for customer approval requirements and submission. • Perform weekly, monthly trend analysis and coordinate corrective actions with involved areas. • Defines SPC to manufacturing processes and monitor weekly and monthly performance, implement countermeasure. • Interact constantly with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Materials, Support Areas to ensure robust processes using PPAP, SPC and LEAN tools. SKILLS: • Responsible for working with cross-functional groups to coordinate strategies for meeting customer’s requirements in all quality areas that also serve AE’s business needs. • Failure Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, corrective and preventive action due customer (internal-external) complaints. • Define, design, develop and Implement SPC tools for assembly tools, manufacturing, and test fixtures. • Establish, implement, and maintain the quality management system. • Interact with Engineering and Operations to ensure an appropriate transfer of new products, PPAP. • Responsible for planning, organizing, and managing activities of receiving / outgoing quality functions. • Participates in Design Reviews to ensure compliance with reliability standards and customer requirements. • Review Engineering Change Requests for customer approval requirements and submission. EXPERIENCE: Essential: • Experience in Electronics Industry Preferable • Experience in Automotive Industry and/or Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), • Bachelor's degree (Manufacturing, Electronic Engineering) Preferable • Six Sigma Certification preferable • 3+ years’ experience in manufacturing is preferred. • 2+ years in quality system maintenance • English 85% • LEAN Manufacturing tools • Excellent computer skills (Statistical Software, Office –Excel-,etc)
