POSITION SUMMARY: Advanced Energy is looking for an experienced and competitive Sales Engineer to help drive sales growth at our key semiconductor accounts. The Sales Engineer will collaborate with the sales team, marketing and design engineers, to provide highly differentiated technical support to our customers to drive design wins at a diverse set of applications and customers. Additionally, this position is eligible for the Sales Incentive Plan with a specific target amount to be determined based on the role. RESPONSIBILITIES: Support the adoption of Advanced Energy power solutions at our customers at all stages of the engagement process from pre-sales activity to postproduction/installation support Support AE solution recommendations, system architecture guidance, schematic review, on-site customer qualification & debug support, etc.… We want to be thought of as part of our customer design team where they are actively seeking out a Sales Engineer to help solve system level problems Through developing engineering relationships with our customers, identify and communicate technical requirements for new applications or customer needs that aren’t served by the current portfolio to the product development; is this input is critical in definition of new products and roadmap Regularly provide technological updates and product training to customers, sales, and distribution As a trusted customer advocate, I have confidence and persuasive skills to earn the respect of engineering leaders both internally and with the customer Provide technical perspective that heavily influences the sales strategy WORK ENVIRONMENT: This role will be based out of the Milpitas, CA office Environment: time split between AE office and customer sites as appropriate QUALIFICATIONS: Charismatic communicator that can advocate for customers to an internal audience and for the company to the customer Solid problem-solving methodology A passionate and curious technologist with an ability to learn and adapt to industry trends Knowledge of power electronics with ability to qualify, test, modify, and debug power supplies in the lab as needed EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5 years of power electronics design and/or applications experience EDUCATION: BSEE degree COMPENSATION: As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting base salary for this role is $125,000 to $155,000 per year. Additionally, this position is eligible for the Sales Incentive Plan with a specific target amount to be determined based on the role.
