Job Titile: Planning Engineer Location: KSA/Rabigh About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated Planning Engineer to join our Technical Support team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and controlling plant maintenance activities to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the plant. This role requires close coordination with the Maintenance and Operations teams to optimize preventive and corrective maintenance activities while maximizing plant availability. Key Responsibilities: Plan, schedule, and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance activities using SAP. Review maintenance notifications and work orders to ensure completeness, progress, and timely closure. Develop and maintain preventive maintenance task lists, maintenance plans, and schedules. Coordinate planned shutdowns and annual outages using MS Project to optimize maintenance execution and minimize downtime. Analyze equipment failures and maintenance reports to recommend improvements to preventive maintenance strategies. Coordinate with maintenance disciplines and operations to execute routine maintenance and outage activities. Process and monitor warranty defect notifications and coordinate warranty claims. Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc maintenance performance reports for management. Maintain equipment master data, maintenance history, and configuration information within SAP. Recommend and implement continuous improvements to maintenance planning processes and procedures. Support effective utilization of maintenance resources and improve planning efficiency. Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, contractual obligations, and Integrated Management System (IMS) requirements. Participate in Health, Safety, Security, Environmental, and Quality programs and promote a strong safety culture. Support hazard identification, risk assessments, incident investigations, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions. Provide on-the-job training and support the development of maintenance personnel. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering. Master's degree is considered an advantage. Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in maintenance planning and scheduling within a power generation, utilities, or industrial plant environment. Experience using SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) and maintenance planning tools is essential. Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance principles. Hands-on experience with SAP PM as an end user. Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, and Outlook. Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills. Ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams. Excellent communication and reporting skills in English. Knowledge of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental Management Systems. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to prioritize work based on operational and business requirements. Working Conditions: Plant-based role requiring occasional work near operating mechanical equipment and outdoor environments. May involve exposure to elevated work areas, noise, airborne particles, chemicals, electrical equipment, and varying weather conditions while adhering to all applicable safety procedures.
