J ob Title: Shift Engineer Location: Rabigh Department: Operations Reports to: Operation Manager Job Purpose: To lead and manage plant operations during the shift, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable performance while achieving production targets. Key Responsibilities: Operations Management Monitor plant performance and ensure safe, efficient operations during the shift. Take corrective actions to resolve operational issues and emergencies. Oversee shift activities and ensure targets are achieved. Team Leadership Supervise and guide shift staff to ensure effective performance. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Technical Support Provide technical expertise to optimize plant performance. Analyze operational data and recommend improvements. Maintenance Coordination Coordinate with maintenance teams for planned and unplanned activities. Support commissioning and start-up activities. Health, Safety & Environment Ensure compliance with HSE standards and permit-to-work systems. Report and manage incidents during the shift. Systems & Reporting Maintain accurate operational data and reports. Utilize SAP systems for work orders and maintenance tracking. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Minimum 8 years of experience in power generation and/or water desalination plants. At least 2 years in a supervisory role. Skills: Strong knowledge of plant operations and equipment. Leadership and team management skills. Planning and problem-solving abilities. SAP knowledge is preferred. Good communication skills.
