As a Software Engineer in our Product Documentation team, you will help transform complex technical and engineering input into structured requirements, reliable data models, and high-quality documentation that support engineering, calibration, integration, and legal use cases. In this role, you will work at the intersection of engineering, data, and documentation , helping ensure that information is captured in a structured way, connected across systems, and transformed into formats that teams can rely on every day. You Key Responsabilities: Analyze technical and engineering data from internal stakeholders and customers to understand requirements, dependencies, and documentation needs. Translate business, engineering, and documentation needs into structured requirements, specifications, and data definitions . Compare and evaluate data models, identify mappings, gaps, and inconsistencies, and define suitable transformation strategies . Support the integration of data from tools such as MATLAB/Simulink , Polarion , and RV&S into a common data pool. Contribute to the creation and maintenance of structured documentation in formats such as PDF , ETAS eHandbook , DOCX , and specialized reports. Work with specialized editors and relevant standards to ensure quality, consistency, traceability, and reusability of documentation. Collaborate with engineers, tool owners, and process stakeholders to improve documentation and integration workflows. Support automation and standardization initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort. Contribute to troubleshooting, technical analysis, and continuous improvement of documentation-related processes. Your Qualifications Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering , or equivalent practical experience. Strong programming skills in C#, Python, Java , or similar languages. Experience with REST/SOAP APIs , JSON , and XML technologies such as XSLT, XPath, and XML Schema . Experience generating and transforming documents such as PDF and DOCX . Familiarity with documentation standards such as DocBook, DITA, or ASAM MDX . Experience with Git, Jira, Confluence , and/or ALM tools such as Polarion or RV&S . Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in complex environments with multiple stakeholders. Fluent English is mandatory. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
