We use our individual skills to shape a better future together. Tell us about your strengths and apply at UNIQA IT Services GmbH (UITS), the IT service provider of the UNIQA Group, as [[extTitle]]. Purpose: Own the deployment, automation, infrastructure, observability, and operational reliability of UNIQA's Agentic AI Platform, built on Azure AI Foundry. Ensure that standardized platform instances can be securely provisioned, updated, monitored, scaled, and operated in line with enterprise standards, security requirements, and AI governance policies. Why this role: You join a group-wide AI Platform Initiative with direct executive sponsorship, building the foundation on which UNIQA's first agentic use cases in Underwriting and Claims will run. The role combines three rare elements: hands-on Azure AI Foundry operations, MCP server infrastructure as an emerging integration standard, and enterprise-grade AI governance. You will not babysit yesterday's stack. You will help define how AI platforms are operated at UNIQA, with real autonomy and visibility. What to expect: Build, operate, and evolve the Agentic AI Platform on Azure, covering infrastructure, networking, access control, secrets, and certificates Deploy and operate Azure AI Foundry (model endpoints, AI services, workspaces), including full model lifecycle management (rollout, versioning, testing, rollback) Implement infrastructure-as-code (preferably Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines for reproducible, auditable platform releases Establish observability (logging, metrics, tracing, performance, token usage, cost transparency) and ensure continuous optimization, troubleshooting, and upgrades. Enforce security and governance (guardrails, policies, IAM, quotas, Responsible AI, auditability), including secure connectivity (Private Endpoints, VNET, isolation) Operate MCP infrastructure and drive FinOps (consumption monitoring, budgeting, cost optimization), as well as capacity and quota management across environments What we expect: Must have Strong experience in Azure platform engineering (networking, subscriptions, landing zones, cloud security) Hands-on experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Services, or comparable enterprise AI platforms in production Infrastructure-as-code expertise (preferably Terraform) with reproducible deployments. Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions) Solid knowledge of IAM, Azure RBAC, Managed Identities, Entra ID, secret management, and secure runtime configuration Strong observability skills and understanding of AI governance (access control, quotas, Responsible AI, auditability) Fluent in English and German Nice to have Experience with MCP infrastructure or similar AI integration runtimes Experience operating AI workloads at scale (endpoint, quota, and cost management). Experience with containerized platforms, preferably AKS Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Splunk, OpenTelemetry, Azure Monitor, Application Insights) Knowledge of FinOps practices for AI consumption Experience with zero-trust networking for AI services and coordinating platform rollouts across environments At UNIQA, we embrace diversity and consciously foster different perspectives in our teams and leadership positions. We therefore explicitly welcome applications that enrich our diversity. We are striving to increase the proportion of women in leadership positions as well as in technical areas and particularly welcome applications from women. If you have any questions regarding accessibility, please contact the person listed in the advertisement on the right-hand side. You are not sure if you meet our requirements? Apply anyway! UNIQA is looking for candidates with drive, courage to change and enthusiasm! Benefits: [[mfield1]]

That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
