Technical Sales Proposal Specialist We are looking for a motivated and talented professional to join our Service team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in translating technical modernization and revamping studies into structured and competitive commercial proposals, contributing to business growth while developing technical-commercial expertise and progressively gaining direct exposure to customer-facing activities. Key Responsibilities Proposal Management: Manage the end-to-end modernization/revamping proposal process through SAP and CRM, from opportunity creation to the final proposal document. Technical-Commercial Documentation: Convert technical studies developed by the team (mechanical, hydraulic, and process analyses) into structured, consistent, and customer-oriented commercial proposals. Process Standardization: Proactively develop templates, content libraries, and tools to streamline and standardize the proposal preparation process, improving efficiency and repeatability. Technical Product Packages: Create and maintain standard proposal packages for strategic products within the Service Meltshop portfolio (e.g., EBT Manipulators, hydraulic systems, EAF/LF components). Customer Exposure and Development: Gradually participate in the final stages of the proposal process, supporting technical interactions with customers as a natural development path within the role rather than an entry-level requirement. Internal Coordination: Collaborate closely with technical specialists (engineering studies and calculations), sales teams, and spare parts experts to ensure alignment between technical data and the final commercial proposal. Supply Chain and Service Interface: Work closely with Supply Chain and Service teams to verify lead times, product availability, and operational feasibility of the proposed solutions. What we ask for High School Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree Engineering. Previous experience in proposal management or commercial offer preparation is not required. What matters most is curiosity, a genuine willingness to learn the technical-commercial side of the business, and, over time, to develop direct relationships with customers. Strong interest in the commercial and business aspects of technical work, beyond engineering calculations and design activities. Ability to read, understand, and summarize technical documentation (mechanical, hydraulic, and process-related), even when not directly involved in producing the underlying analyses. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously and meet competing deadlines. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; SAP and CRM systems can be learned on the job. Ability to use CAD/Inventor and drawing management systems to view, interpret, and understand technical drawings. Good command of English; knowledge of French or Spanish is considered an advantage.
