Overview TE Connectivity’s Quality and Reliability Engineers analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors. They design, recommend revisions, and install quality control systems, develop, and document analytical methods for establishing the reliability of products and their components, and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment. They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, products, and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action, and customer communication. Please note: This position may involve working with technical data, technology, software/source code, hardware, or other items (collectively “items) subject to U.S. and non-U.S. export control laws and regulations. Job Requirements Provide root cause analysis and corrective action communications to our customers during quality issues within our target timeframes Utilize formal problem solving techniques to resolve product and process related issues, leading cross functional teams Lead Cross functional Notice of Escape teams, to ensure containment, root cause analysis, corrective action and communication to customers. Evaluate customer requirements during order processing, driving implementation of new customer specific requirements and negotiate requirements not in the best interest of TE Connectivity Designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating and reporting quality data Review and approval of First Article reports Work cross functionally to disposition nonconforming product found at incoming, in process or returned from customers and approve any deviations required. What your background should look like Bachelor’s Degree required in a related field to Engineering, Quality or Reliability Engineering. 8+ years of experience in the industry Up to 10% travel may be required including international travel Excellent presentation skills in addition to written and verbal communication skills required Must possess strong problem solving skills. That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
