As a Senior Civil, Structural & Architectural (CS&A) Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of CS&A engineering requirements across either a large, complex project or several medium-sized projects. You will act as the overall technical lead on single-discipline projects, and on multi-discipline projects, you will report to the Project Engineering Manager as the lead for your discipline. You will deliver project outcomes independently or by leading a team, while also supporting the development of junior engineers. This position reports to the Manager of Facilities & Infrastructure Design and is based at the Springfields Fuel Site. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the single point of accountability for the CS&A engineering discipline Lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team, depending on project scope Develop key CS&A design deliverables Check and approve engineering calculations Ensure design quality and compliance with standards and regulations Oversee work of consultants and subcontractors Produce accurate, well-formatted technical documentation Prepare and review quality plans for work packages Deliver work within defined scope, time, and budget Resolve technical issues and manage change control Ensure CDM compliance and fulfill designer responsibilities Present designs to clients and stakeholders Contribute to design reviews and HAZOPs Produce and review safety-related documentation Support bids by developing estimates, scope, and programme logic Mentor junior engineers and designers Build strong relationships with clients and partners Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant engineering discipline Chartered Member of the ICE Strong understanding of applicable standards, regulations, codes, and directives Proven expertise in CS&A design principles and practices Experience producing Technical Files for new products, plant, or equipment Broad knowledge of civil construction and construction management Strong background in designing for seismic, blast, and impact loads Minimum 8 years of industry experience, including at least 3 years at Senior Engineer level Ideally 5+ years in the nuclear or other highly regulated industry #LI-Hybrid Why Westinghouse? If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
