Description Overview The Continuous Improvement Engineer provides technical support as it relates to incident/deviation investigationsfor all commercialized products at Perrigo facilities within Michigan. Scope of the Role Provide technical expertise and support to identify root causes of incidents and deviations Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent reoccurrence of incidents and deviations Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate investigations and ensure timely resolution of issues Conduct risk assessments to identify potential areas of improvement in manufacturing processes Utilize Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools to drive continuous improvement initiatives Collect and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement Stay updated with industry best practices and technological advancements to enhance continuousimprovement efforts. Support ODR activities by helping define base equipment conditions, inspection points, and lubrication standards. Partner with operations and maintenance to identify and eliminate sources of contamination and hard to access areas. Provide technical guidance to ensure ODR routines strengthen equipment reliability and align with continuous improvement objectives. Experience Required Bachelor’s degree preferably in engineering, chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences or related field. Knowledge of principles, concepts and practices in pharmaceutical sciences and manufacturing processes. Well-developed interpersonal, organization and communication skills, ability to work effectively with staffmembers at all levels, strong technical writing skills, familiarity with cGMP and FDA regulations. Experience with operator focused reliability programs (ODR, Autonomous Maintenance, TPM) preferred. Familiarity with cGMP, FDA regulations, including experience with investigations and/or developing andrecommending process improvements. Computer literacy with a working knowledge Microsoft Office (Excel and Word), and SAP experience preferred. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
