Purpose and Scope This position will work with a cross-functional team including IT and MES engineer to deploy Sepasoft MES modules, particularly the settings and changeover, as well as OEE. It will support and expand upon existing Ignition SCADA systems for machine recipe delivery, build visualizations to monitor line performance and machine health, interface with corporate ERP and other systems and build other bi-directional interfaces to provide and collect information to/from the workforce (work instructions, contextual data, manual event triggers, etc.) Support the existing Ignition and Sepasoft MES deployment in our San Jose Iturbide location. Manage the Equipment Hierarchy and asset connectivity to the Settings and Changeover, and OEE modules. Configure and customize Sepasoft MES modules to expand the MES usage to new areas of the plant. Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and debugging to ensure the stability and reliability. Provide training and technical support to end-users and stakeholders on MES functionalities and best practices. Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure seamless data exchange with manufacturing equipment. Work closely with project managers to ensure timely delivery of projects within scope and budget constraints. Development, support, and integration of new and existing projects. Install and maintain hardware and software that collects specified data into usable information to control the production process. Must be able to work as a team leader to attain the software and data collection goals and objectives of the organization. Integrate collected data with other business systems such as ERP, SCADA and Engineering Systems. Program, update, and trouble shoot automation equipment and PLC’s. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
