Full‑Stack Data Engineer We are seeking a Full Stack Data Engineer with deep expertise in PowerShell based ETL, SQL development, and end to end data pipeline engineering. In this role, you will own the full data lifecycle — from ingestion and transformation to modeling, KPI logic, and dashboard delivery. You will design robust workflows, integrate APIs, build scalable data models, and deliver high quality analytics that empower teams across the organization. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys combining strong backend engineering skills with business oriented analytics and who wants to have a direct impact on how data is used across the company. ROLE ETL Development & Workflow Automation • Design, build, and maintain end to end ETL workflows in PowerShell. • Integrate multiple data sources, including SQL databases, APIs, and internal systems. • Apply complex transformation logic and ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency. • Develop reusable PowerShell modules, configuration files, and parameterized functions. • Implement robust error handling, logging, and monitoring to ensure operational resilience. • Continuously optimize ETL performance through scripting best practices and SQL tuning. SQL Engineering & Data Integration (Core Responsibility) • Extract, validate, and transform data using advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, and views. • Ensure efficient data movement between systems and the data platform. • Collaborate with IT and platform teams to ensure secure and compliant data operations. API Integration & Automation • Interact with REST APIs (e.g., Bitbucket, internal systems) for automated data ingestion. • Manage authentication, metadata retrieval, and scheduled data pulls. • Ensure API based workflows are reliable, scalable, and well documented. Data Modeling & KPI Logic • Build clean, scalable data models that support analytics and reporting. • Translate business requirements into well defined KPIs and metric logic. • Maintain a consistent semantic layer for dashboards and reporting tools. Dashboarding & Analytics Delivery • Develop dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to business stakeholders. • Ensure clarity, usability, and performance of BI products. • Support teams in interpreting insights and embedding them into decision making. Documentation & Knowledge Transfer • Produce clear documentation: architecture diagrams, runbooks, operational procedures, and code explanations. • Transfer knowledge to internal teams to ensure long term maintainability and autonomy. PROFILE • Expert level PowerShell scripting for ETL, automation, and workflow orchestration. • Strong SQL development skills, including stored procedures, views, and performance optimization. • Experience integrating data via REST APIs. • Solid understanding of data modeling, KPI logic, and semantic layers. • Hands on experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.). • Familiarity with version control (Bitbucket, Git) and CI/CD concepts. • Strong problem solving mindset with a focus on reliability and scalability. • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. • Clear communication skills, both technical and non technical. • Ownership mentality and a passion for building high quality data products. • Collaborative and comfortable working with cross functional teams. • Curious and eager to continuously improve tools, processes, and skills. JOIN US ! • Join a global leader in trust technologies with a mission that matters. • Be at the strategic heart of a financially sound and innovation-driven company. • Collaborate with high-level experts and work on impactful international projects. • Operate in a multi-cultural, high-integrity environment where autonomy and ownership are encouraged. That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
