The Japan Research Institute (JRI) Limited is a subsidiary of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) Group. JRI provides comprehensive, highly value-added information services through the coordinated application of its 3 functions i.e. information systems, consulting and think-tank. As a system integrator, JRI offers services in IT strategy planning, implementation and outsourcing to a broad range of industries and activities. JRI Singapore currently supports the overall IT functions of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) in the Asia Pacific region. Responsibilities Installation, Implementation, Evaluation, Configuration, Administration, Operations, Monitoring, and Management of Oracle Databases (12c / 19c) running on Linux environment. Provide technical solutions for database related issues. Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring high levels of system availability and reliability. Data Management and Operational Support for both Oracle. Implement and manage high availability solutions including Oracle RAC and Data Guard. Troubleshooting real-time performance and tuning issues in Oracle Database. Manage and perform database backup restore. Upgrade of New Software Releases, Patches and System. All aspects of database tuning from software configuration, memory usage, data access, SQL and physical storage. Administer and maintain MS SQL (2016 and above) environments. Support Audits with relevant correct details. Participate in Disaster recovery exercises. Respond to calls such as incidents and requests in a timely manner. Maintain proper documentation according to the company policies and practices. Perform change and release management according to bank policies. Troubleshoot and resolve problem of database issues with emphasis on root cause analysis. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology with min. 7 years’ work experience in Oracle patching for Standalone and RAC environments. Experience in RAC and Grid Infrastructure (Clusterware, ASM, Disk Groups, etc.). Experience in Always ON and Windows clusters. Experience in migrating and upgrading of database. Experience in managing database security policies and procedure documents. Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. Able and willing to work after office hours and on weekends when needed.
