Vice President / Director, Underwriting Risk Management

Underwriting Risk Management Assist senior management with reviewing and challenging underwriting transaction requests, collaborating with Credit Department for decision making, and applying strong credit knowledge and transaction experience to assess credit and market risks of underwriting positions. Manage credit origination, portfolio oversight, and ongoing risk management activities. Review with deep analysis and view of the market conditions, and review the weekly MtM position updates of unsold exposures and business' strategies. Perform analysis of underwriting portfolio and report it to the monthly regional committee participated by management. Assessing new Structured Debt products and services, organizing discussions with various stakeholders including head office in Tokyo. Credit risk management planning, ensure regulatory compliance, and support in planning and enhancing underwriting risk frameworks in APAC, focusing on effective risk management and collaboration with other regions. Requirements : Degree or equivalent with experience in Financial Institution credit risk Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in banking Strong credit risk and market risk analysis, strong working knowledge in underwrting in banking is essential Good communication, interpersonal skills and fluent in written and spoken English Team player and strong sense of ownership of outcomes Meticulous, with an eye for details Able to work under tight timelines and comfortable with cross-border interactions
