This position represents Nemak on-site at customer locations, proactively identifying, containing, and resolving quality concerns while maintaining strong customer relationships and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Main Responsibilities Act as the primary contact with customer Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering teams. Monitor product quality performance and customer metrics to identify risks and prevent non-conforming material from reaching production. Conduct daily inspections of customer plant areas, including production lines, quality areas, quarantine zones, and scrap locations. Investigate and manage quality concerns, documenting findings, coordinating containment activities, and escalating issues when required. Communicate customer concerns, inventory status, quality issues, and operational risks to Nemak teams through established reporting channels. Lead and support problem-solving activities utilizing customer and Nemak methodologies (8D, MASP, and other structured approaches). Coordinate PPAP runs, special tests, PTR activities, and customer validations to support new launches and engineering changes. Track customer complaints, corrective actions, and closure activities to ensure timely resolution. Support negotiations regarding acceptance criteria, repair procedures, scrap agreements, and chargeback policies. Monitor customer chargebacks, quality costs, scrap rates, and deductions while maintaining detailed records and supporting financial reviews. Collaborate with Quality, Logistics, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to support production and delivery performance. Participate in customer operational meetings and develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders. Support supplier development activities and continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, delivery, and cost performance. Position Requirements Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or related field. Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Customer Quality, or related areas. Skills: Problem solving, analytical thinking, negotiation, customer relationship management, communication, leadership, teamwork, and decision making. Tech Skills: Quality Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC), GD&T interpretation, quality systems, statistical analysis, problem-solving methodologies, SAP, Minitab, and customer communication portals. Languages: Advanced English required. Spanish required for Mexico-based positions. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
