Lotus Bakeries Thailand is expanding its manufacturing capabilities in Chon Buri and is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to drive high-impact strategic projects. This senior role leads end-to-end execution across product commercialization, CAPEX investments, brownfield expansions, and sustainability initiatives—supporting the site’s growth beyond its initial greenfield phase. We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to lead and successfully deliver strategic projects across multiple workstreams. This senior-level role is responsible for managing end-to-end project execution, including but not limited to product commercialization, factory CAPEX improvements, brownfield expansions, and sustainability initiatives. The position requires a strong combination of engineering expertise, commercial acumen, and the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams. The Project Engineer reports directly to the Strategic Project Manager and works closely with key internal stakeholders, including the GBS team, R&D, Procurement, Engineering, and factory operations. The role also involves coordination with machine and equipment suppliers, as well as external partners such as Construction Managers, Project Engineers, and contractors, depending on project requirements. Project Leadership & Delivery: Take full ownership of assigned projects from initiation through to completion and handover — scope, schedule, budget, quality, and stakeholder managemen Lead cross-functional project teams and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to drive project outcomes Prepare project plans, milestones, and resource requirements for review and approval by the Strategic Project Manager Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks, issues, and deviations — escalate with proposed solutions before they become critical Manage project budgets — track committed costs, actual spend, and forecast to completion; flag variances early Ensure all project deliverables comply with Lotus Bakeries standards, regulatory requirements, and applicable HSE guidelines Work with the GBS team, R&D, Procurement, Engineering, Machine & Equipment supplier and factory team to scope, develop, and validate new product commercialization opportunities applying CVS (Commissioning, Validation and Start-up) framework Report project status clearly and concisely to the Strategic Project Manager and relevant stakeholders on a regular basic Technical & Commercial Assurance: Apply engineering fundamentals to review, challenge, and approve technical deliverables — drawings, specifications, datasheets, method statements, and vendor submissions Prepare or support business cases including technical feasibility, cost-benefit analysis, ROI calculation, and investment proposals Manage the package Approval for Work process provide technical support point of view, coordinate internal review, and secure authority sign-off within required timelines Act as the technical interface between the project team and commercial, market, or operational stakeholders — translating engineering constraints into business language Manage and secure necessary regulatory permits and operating licenses required for project delivery Cross-functional Collaboration: Represent the project team in cross-functional meetings — adapting communication style to audience (technical, commercial, or executive) Build and maintain effective working relationships with GBS, R&D, Procurement, Engineering, Machine & Equipment suppliers, factory team, and external contractors Support the development and mentoring of the Junior Project Engineer — sharing knowledge and best practices Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes and tools within the team Any other tasks assigned by the Strategic Project Manager aligned to the team's goals and business priorities Education (degree): Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Project Management is an advantage Specific knowledge: Engineering fundamentals — ability to read and challenge technical drawings, specifications, and equipment datasheets Commercial and business case development — cost-benefit analysis, ROI calculation, investment proposals Project management tools — MS Project, Planner (M365), or equivalent SAP or equivalent ERP system for CAPEX and purchase order management Microsoft Office 365 — Excel (advanced), PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint Understanding of food manufacturing or FMCG production environments is a strong advantage Experience: Minimum 5–8 years of experience in project engineering, commercial project management, or technical project management Proven experience managing capital projects (CAPEX) in an industrial or food manufacturing environment Experience working with cross-functional teams (GBS team, R&D, Procurement, Engineering, Machine & Equipment supplier and factory team) is required Exposure to EPC/EPCM project environments and contractor management is an advantage Track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to specification Language: Fluent in Thai and English (verbal and writing) — English required for contractor and international stakeholder interface Personal competences: Strong commercial mindset combined with engineering rigour — able to bridge technical and business thinking Self-starter who can manage multiple workstreams simultaneously without close supervision Excellent communicator — able to present complex engineering and commercial content to non-technical stakeholders Structured, detail-oriented, and disciplined in project documentation and reporting Collaborative team player who builds trust across Market, Procurement, Finance, and Engineering Proactive and solutions-oriented — anticipates problems and proposes practical solutions before escalation Comfortable with ambiguity and change in a growing, fast-paced environment
