Position Summary The Director, Operations & Engineering leads multi-site manufacturing, mining, safety, engineering, and continuous improvement across Huber Specialty Minerals’ Ground Calcium Carbonate business. This is a highly strategic and operationally critical role, responsible for driving performance across five facilities operating under both FDA and MSHA regulatory environments. As a key member of the GCC Leadership Team, this leader sets the standard for operational excellence, delivers year-over-year improvement in safety and financial performance, and builds the organizational capability to sustain long-term growth. #HEMIND Principal Duties & Responsibilities Lead safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance across all facilities, ensuring adherence to MSHA, FDA, and occupational health standards. Drive operational performance by delivering production, cost, reliability, and capital objectives across a multi-site network. Optimize manufacturing footprint, cost structure, and operating disciplines to support business strategy. Lead Engineering and Continuous Improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, and profitability. Establish data-driven operating rhythms through KPIs, dashboards, and performance reviews. Contribute to business strategy, translating long-term plans into operational execution. Build, develop, and lead a high-performing Operations Leadership Team across multiple sites. Drive leadership consistency, talent development, and succession planning across the organization. Partner cross-functionally with Quality, Supply Chain, HR, and Commercial teams to enable growth and operational excellence. Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Mining, or related technical field (Mechanical, Mining, Chemical, or Materials preferred). 10–20 years of progressive operations leadership experience, including significant plant or multi-site leadership. Proven success leading complex, multi-site manufacturing and/or mining operations. Strong financial acumen, including P&L ownership, capital planning, and cost optimization. Experience in regulated environments (MSHA, cGMP/FDA) strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to lead change, drive continuous improvement, and execute strategy at scale. Strong leadership, communication, and talent development capabilities. Ability to operate effectively in complex, matrixed environments and influence across functions. Total Rewards J.M. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
