As the Technical Sales Manager for the North-Pacific region of Mexico , you will play a key role in building ICL’s Innovative Ag Solutions business from the ground up. This position requires an entrepreneurial mindset and will be responsible for driving sales growth of the crop nutrition portfolio, including granular, water-soluble, controlled-release, and liquid fertilizers. This role involves managing customer relationships across distributors, retailers, and growers, while promoting a broad portfolio of ICL products. Collaboration with business development managers, agronomy, marketing, and sales operations will be essential to ensure customer satisfaction and commercial excellence. Key crops include (but are not limited to): citrus, corn, tomato, berries, peppers, onion, wheat, asparagus, grapes, melon, potato, watermelon, sugarcane, beans, sorghum, and others. Location: Home-based – Must reside in Mochis, Culiacan Sinaloa. Major Responsibilities/Accountabilities: Build and strengthen relationships with retail and distribution clients in the territory. Prospect growers and establish demonstration and promotional trials. Monitor competitive pricing, promotions, product development, and marketing strategies. Expand partnerships with new distributors, retailers, and growers. Develop and implement a sales growth plan for market expansion. Provide technical support on the use of granular, liquid, water-soluble, and controlled-release fertilizers. Execute sales and marketing strategies through a structured business plan, ensuring efficient use of company resources. Deliver market insights and identify emerging trends. Prepare annual sales forecasts and monthly updates to support the S&OP process. Represent ICL at trade shows, events, and demonstrations. Fully utilize CRM tools to record customer interactions and manage territory performance. Understand and meet financial expectations of the sales budget. Submit weekly trip summaries, monthly activity reports, and other required documentation. Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy or related field (preferred coursework: plant science, soil science, plant health, plant nutrition). Minimum of 5 years’ experience in agricultural sales and nutritional solution recommendations. Strong field experience and knowledge of the region (Sinaloa, Sonora, Nayarit, Baja California and Baja California Sur). Proven track record in commercial sales execution. Ability to manage demo farms, technical trials, seminars, and retail sales team training. Technical expertise in fertilizers, soils, and crop nutrition. Experience developing nutrient management programs under Good Agronomic Practices (GAP). Knowledge of nutrient solution formulation with straight and NPK fertilizers. Familiarity with field equipment (CE, pH, Brix-meter, ion meters for NO3, Ca, K, etc.). Analytical skills to interpret soil, water, and plant nutritional values. Strong organizational skills with a customer-centric focus. Excellent oral and written communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, Outlook, Salesforce, and MapPoint. Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions and lift up to 50 lbs. Team-oriented, proactive, and innovative problem solver. Ethical behavior and adherence to ICL policies. Valid driver’s license. Willingness to travel up to 85% within the region. Desired Qualifications: Master’s degree in Agronomy, MBA, Marketing, or Finance. Commitment to continuing education and self-training. Experience working with international companies. Background in agricultural retail. Valid U.S. visa. Bilingual (English/Spanish). Who is ICL?
