Job Requisition ID: [[id]] Manager, AI & Analytics Engineer — Performance Improvement Build and productionise AI-powered analytics assets used on live client engagements Lead the build-out of our Databricks platform — pipelines, Delta tables and reusable accelerators Drive adoption of AI and analytics across our performance improvement teams Do you have expertise in AI and data engineering, and an interest in performance improvement? At Deloitte we are building and scaling a suite of AI-powered analytics products that help clients understand cost, workforce, operational and program performance — and then act on it. You'll design, build and productionise AI and analytics assets, stand up the Databricks platform underneath them, and get them adopted by client teams. What will your typical day look like? As a hands-on technical lead, you'll provide expertise and thought leadership to: Build: Design and implement AI assets for performance improvement workflows — extracting and validating insights from structured and unstructured data, and generating client-ready outputs. Orchestrate: Develop agentic pipelines combining structured extraction, RAG, validation and reasoning, with citations, confidence scoring and a human in the loop. Engineer the platform: Build and scale our Databricks environment — ingestion pipelines, Delta Lake tables, layered data models, workflows and Unity Catalog governance — so assets run on trusted, reusable foundations. Evaluate & safeguard: Create test sets, scoring harnesses, data quality checks and regression suites so prompts, models and pipelines stay robust across engagements. Serve & observe: Build deployable services with CI/CD, tracing, accuracy/latency monitoring and prompt/version management across dev/test/prod on Azure. Drive adoption: Partner with Partners, Directors and engagement teams to embed AI and analytics into live client work, then coach practitioners to use it confidently. Adoption is the measure of success, not the demo. Productise: Turn what works on one engagement into a documented, supportable accelerator for the next. Lead: Mentor junior engineers and analysts, and lift the standard of engineering and data practice across the team. About the team You'll join Deloitte's Performance Improvement team within Performance Improvement & Restructuring, part of the Strategy, Risk & Transactions business unit. We help public and private sector clients navigate cost pressure, operational complexity, funding constraints and major transformation agendas. Our Technology & Analytics capability brings together data analytics, data engineering, software development, platform engineering and AI-enabled delivery, building client-facing applications and analytics assets on Azure, Databricks, SQL, React and TypeScript. The team is small, collaborative and commercially focused — what you build gets used, quickly, in front of clients. You'll report to the Director, Performance Improvement Technology & Analytics. Enough about us, let's talk about you. We're looking for an ambitious AI and analytics engineer who wants to build production-ready solutions and see them adopted. You may have all or some of the following: Around 5+ years' experience across AI/machine learning engineering, data engineering, analytics engineering or software engineering A degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field is preferred Expert Python, including data science/AI libraries, with applied experience moving AI or analytics use cases into production in an enterprise environment Practical experience with generative AI techniques — prompt engineering, RAG, document extraction, agentic orchestration, evaluation and guardrails Hands-on experience with modern data platforms, ideally Databricks — Delta Lake, Spark, notebooks, workflows, Unity Catalog and pipeline orchestration Strong SQL and data modelling fundamentals across cloud-based SQL and NoSQL technologies Modern MLOps/DevOps practice to deploy and operate at scale on Azure (preferred), AWS or GCP — Git, CI/CD, testing, containerisation, monitoring Software engineering foundations (production APIs, FastAPI preferred) and familiarity with frontend development (React) would be advantageous but are not essential Ability to translate an ambiguous business problem into a well-scoped technical solution, and explain the trade-offs to a non-technical audience Excellent interpersonal skills, a collaborative mindset, and a strong ethical grounding in data usage and AI implementation Join Deloitte's Performance Improvement Technology & Analytics team and help shape how AI and analytics deliver real, measurable value to our clients. Why Deloitte? At Deloitte, we focus our energy on interesting and impactful work. Here's how to pick the right one and stand out in your application.

144.883Jobs

That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.

When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
