Your area of work The Market & Liquidity Analytics unit plays a pivotal role in supporting Eurex’s derivatives market making and liquidity provisioning strategy. We deliver high-impact quantitative analytics across asset classes, providing deep insights into trading behavior and liquidity dynamics, as well as business ownership of the Market Maker Performance Measurement, a key part of the broader trading infrastructure.Our work informs strategic decisions, supports liquidity provisioning, and enhances transparency in derivatives markets. The work we produce informs internal and external stakeholders about the effectiveness and efficiency of our liquidity provider programs to actual order book and off book trading dynamics development.As a working student you will be instrumental in advancing Eurex’s analytics in these topics. This role focuses on developing and maintaining Python-based analytical frameworks, modeling liquidity metrics, and generating actionable insights for stakeholders via interactive dashboards and ad hoc analysis. Embedded within the Market & Liquidity Analytics unit, you will contribute directly to the quantitative evaluation of derivatives markets, support liquidity provisioning strategies, and enhance the analytical toolkit used across teams at Eurex, while ensuring the quality and smooth functioning of the Market Maker Performance measurement system. Your responsibilities : You build and maintain Python-based analytical models to assess liquidity, market depth and market maker performance metrics across derivatives products You help maintain and improve the Market Maker Performance Measurement system, by understanding parametrization and helping support product and program launches and following performance developments You translate complex quantitative requirements into robust analytical solutions and visualizations, ensuring clarity and usability for diverse audiences You produce research on key performance indicator developments in the areas of order book liquidity, market maker behavior and other derivatives trading metrics Furthermore, you will support the broader functions of the Market & Liquidity Analytics team through dedication and engagement with the team’s activities and responsibilities Your profile: You are enrolled during the entire period of activity at a state-recognized university as a regular student in the field of Finance, Economics, Data Science, Statistics and have completed at least two semesters You are proactive, engaged individuals with strong communication skills and problem solving attitude Ideally, you have strong proficiency in Python for data analysis, modeling, and visualization. Experience with libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib is highly desirable You have an understanding and passion to learn about derivatives markets trading, especially futures and options You have experience using Business Intelligence tools (ideally Power BI) and creating interactive dashboards You have good SQL skills for day-to-day querying of Oracle Databases for the purpose of extracting business relevant intelligence You are proficient in written and spoken English as well as German Start date: [[jobStartDate]] What you can expect from us Deutsche Börse Group embraces an international climate, whereby diversity is universal.
