Your area of work The Master Data Maintenance (MDM) Team ensures the quality, integrity, and governance of customer and vendor master data across Deutsche Börse Group. As a central center of expertise, the team manages the full master data lifecycle, including validation, maintenance, enrichment, quality assurance, governance, and process improvement. Working closely with business and technology stakeholders, the team analyzes requirements, defines governance standards, evaluates data impacts, and supports sustainable data solutions. Through strong data stewardship and governance practices, the MDM team drives data quality, consistency, compliance, and operational excellence across the Group. We are seeking an experienced Data Quality & Governance Specialist to drive data excellence across the organization by ensuring high-quality, accurate, and compliant master data. The role combines data governance, data quality management, data analysis, and process improvement, with a strong focus on Customer and Supplier Master Data. Your responsibilities Drive data quality initiatives across Customer and Supplier Master Data domains. Execute and support data cleansing, enrichment, deduplication, and migration activities for business transformation projects. Define, maintain, and continuously improve data quality standards, governance policies, validation rules, and controls. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and implement first-time-right processes. Analyze large datasets to identify data quality issues, root causes, trends, and opportunities for improvement. Develop and monitor data quality KPIs, dashboards, and reporting. Challenge existing business processes and propose enhancements to improve data accuracy, consistency, and governance. Ensure adherence to master data governance standards and regulatory requirements. Support SAP S/4HANA and SAP MDG Business Partner governance and maintenance processes. Contribute to the continuous improvement of data governance frameworks, operating procedures, and best practices. Your profile Proven experience in Data Quality Management, Data Governance, or Master Data Management . Strong expertise in Customer and Supplier Master Data processes. Hands-on experience with data cleansing, enrichment, deduplication, and data migration activities. Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, data reconciliation, reporting, and large dataset analysis. Experience defining and managing business rules, validation logic, data quality controls, and survivorship rules. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities – You are able to actively listen and quickly understand arguments and goals of different people Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management – You explain the business/functional topics in a manner understandable to people without the business background. You do not hesitate to ask questions, express your doubts or kindly challenge ideas during discussions. You have no problem to admit and accept mistakes. High degree of self-dependence – You are self-motivated, looking for opportunities to improve things or your own skills constantly. You take responsibility and are motivated to deliver. Team player – You can work with people of different backgrounds and personalities, You are happy to help and share your expertise. You appreciate the skills of others and ask for opinion or review easily. Excellent written and spoken English skills (German, or Czech is a plus) Holder of a University degree preferably in Economics, Information Systems, Data Science, Finance, or a comparable analytical discipline Preferred Qualifications Experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) . Knowledge of Business Partner master data governance and lifecycle management. Experience supporting ERP transformation or migration projects. Familiarity with data governance frameworks, data quality KPIs, and process improvement methodologies.
