Your area of work: The Head of Real Estate holds end-to-end strategic responsibility for Deutsche Börse Group’s global workplaces, encompassing more than 30 corporate locations worldwide. In this role, you will shape the Group’s real estate strategy, ensuring that our offices reflect a modern, high-performance work environment that enables productivity, collaboration, and employee wellbeing. You will lead a global team accountable for the operational excellence, continuous improvement, and transformation of our existing locations, while driving the planning and delivery of new sites in alignment with our long-term business objectives. This includes overseeing a broad ecosystem of external partners to ensure consistent, best-in-class service quality across all regions. A key part of the role is close collaboration with real estate teams across our subsidiaries to further advance an “under one roof” concept, creating a more integrated, workplace experience where reasonable and aligning related processes and standards across Deutsche Börse Group. Your responsibilities: Provide corporate Real Estate Management expertise Ensure smooth operations and management for dedicated Deutsche Boerse Group premises Deliver construction projects of various sizes for existing and new locations worldwide Manage complex contract negotiations (e.g., lease contracts, and contracts with General Contractors) Lead a team of 30+ experienced facility management experts globally Enhance the Real Estate & Facility Management related Target Operating Model (TOM) in line with our ongoing “One Group” project Ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules and regulations as well as proper documentation (e.g., facility management related policies, guidelines, handbooks and procedures) for all assigned premises Secure budget adherence in line with defined targets Manage the relationship with our Physical Security, Corporate IT and Business Continuity Management teams Steer external service providers supporting building operations (such as technical maintenance, cleaning, in-house services, and catering) Your profile: University degree in Economics, Engineering or related field At least 7 years of experience leading mid to large international teams Minimum 5-10 years in senior facility management roles with focus on corporate real estate topics and building operations Proven track record in project management as well as delivery experience with budget responsibility Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex topics clearly and concisely; used to communicate to C-Level Management Proven business partnership with the ability to influence senior stakeholders Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills High drive and flexibility, including on‑site presence and travel as needed Fluent in German and English (written and spoken); French language skills are an advantage Deutsche Börse Group embraces an international climate, whereby diversity is universal.
