Due to continued growth in Western Australia , we are seeking a proactive Sales Engineer to drive new business across the state. The Role This is a new business–focused Sales Engineer role with responsibility for developing opportunities across OEMs, EPCs, engineering consultants and major industrial end users. You will operate as a hunter, identifying projects early, opening new accounts, influencing specifications and converting opportunities into long-term customer relationships. Key Responsibilities New business development across industrial B2B markets Target and grow relationships with OEMs, EPCs, project houses and engineering consultants Sell engineered gearboxes, gearmotors, planetary drives and power transmission solutions Identify and pursue opportunities in mining, materials handling, energy and infrastructure projects Manage the full sales cycle: lead generation, technical engagement, quotation and contract negotiation Build and maintain a strong opportunity pipeline in CRM Conduct regular customer visits, site visits and project reviews across WA Work closely with internal engineering and application teams Requirements About You To succeed in this role, you will be an experienced industrial sales professional (at least 1-2 years of experience) with strong technical credibility and a hunter mindset. Essential skills and experience: Proven experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Engineer or Technical Sales Manager Strong B2B sales experience within industrial or engineered products Demonstrated success selling into OEMs, EPCs or large industrial clients Understanding of gearboxes, gearmotors, drives, power transmission or mechanical equipment Essential experience in the mining industry is required for this position Essential experience in industrial power transmission solutions is required Hunter mentality – proactive, driven and results-focused Ability to engage confidently with engineers, consultants and decision-makers Strong commercial, negotiation and closing skills Highly regarded requirements: Experience in mining, bulk materials handling, energy or infrastructure Existing Western Australian industry network Background in project-based or engineered-to-order sales Unrestricted Australian work rights are required for this position What's On Offer Work for a globally recognised brand Autonomous role with ownership of the WA market Strong technical and engineering support Competitive salary package + performance incentives Company vehicle and tools of trade Long-term career development opportunities
