Job Summary The Senior Manager, Marketing – Drug Delivery Devices (DDD) is responsible for defining and executing how West wins in the market today. This role leads global go‑to‑market strategy and activation, translating portfolio strategy into measurable commercial outcomes. The position drives market awareness, demand generation, and commercial enablement to maximize penetration of West’s proprietary drug delivery device portfolio. It oversees product positioning, campaign development, launch activation, and customer-facing messaging to accelerate revenue growth, enhance margin performance, and strengthen competitive differentiation across pharmaceutical and biotechnology markets. This leader ensures strong alignment between evolving customer needs, regulatory considerations, and West’s portfolio and innovation pipeline to support sustainable, long-term growth. Acting as the commercial integrator, the role partners cross-functionally with Market & Competitive Intelligence, Product Management, R&D, Technical SMEs, Sales, Technical Customer Service, and Marketing Operations to bridge strategy and field execution. The Senior Manager ensures that positioning, messaging activation, launch readiness, and campaign execution consistently translate into commercial impact and measurable market success. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Go-to-Market Strategy & Execution Lead development and execution of go-to-market plans for new and existing products across key pharmaceutical and biotechnology segments. Define target segments, customer personas, value propositions, and content & channel strategies. Ensure coordinated execution across regions and commercial teams. Product Positioning & Value Messaging Translate complex technical specifications and regulatory considerations into compelling, differentiated customer messaging. Align positioning with evolving market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer needs. Ensure consistent global messaging across all customer touchpoints. Product Launch & Lifecycle Marketing Lead marketing strategy for new product introductions, including launch planning, messaging, enablement materials, and performance tracking of new product sales and campaign performance. Support full product lifecycle management, including growth initiatives, portfolio optimization, and end-of-life planning. Demand Generation & Campaign Strategy Oversee integrated marketing campaigns across digital, trade, and customer channels and develop understanding of AI levers to drive awareness and qualified demand. Partner with Marketing Operations to implement measurement frameworks, KPIs and optimize campaign effectiveness. Ensure alignment between campaign activity and sales pipeline objectives. Sales Enablement & Commercial Support Provide strategic marketing support to Sales and customer facing teams through development of tools and collateral, including presentations, technical content, case studies, competitive insights, and objection-handling materials. Support account expansion strategies through targeted messaging and customized value propositions. Market & Competitive Intelligence Integration Leverage and translate insights from market research and competitive intelligence to inform positioning, campaign strategy, and growth prioritization. Identify emerging trends, customer requirements, and competitive threats to proactively adjust marketing strategies in partnership with Product team. Work with the regional teams to understand the dynamics and competitive environment in their territories and any implications for the strategy that need to reflect those market differences. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner closely with Product Management, R&D, Scientific Affairs, Scientific Communications, Regulatory, Quality, Supply Chain, and Market & Competitive Intelligence to ensure alignment between innovation, portfolio strategy, and market messaging. Brand Stewardship & Technical Content Oversight Ensure technical accuracy, regulatory alignment, and brand consistency across all external-facing materials. Maintain strong alignment with corporate brand standards and compliance requirements Additional Responsibilities Education Degree in Marketing, Business, Science, Engineering, Life Science or Related Fields preferred. Work Experience Minimum 10 years of experience in marketing perferably within medical device, combination products, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other highly regulated B2B manufacturing environments. Demonstrated experience leading global go-to-market strategies for complex, technical product portfolios. Proven track record of developing and executing integrated marketing strategies that drive measurable revenue growth, margin expansion, and market share gains. Experience translating highly technical or engineering-based product offerings into clear, differentiated customer value propositions. Experience leading new product launches, including positioning, messaging, sales enablement, and campaign execution. Demonstrated understanding of demand generation programs, digital campaigns, and performance measurement frameworks tied to commercial outcomes. Experience operating within matrixed, global organizations, influencing senior stakeholders without direct authority. Strong understanding of regulated industry dynamics, including compliance considerations impacting marketing communications. Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities An understanding of the healthcare industry, including pharmaceutical/medical device in global markets and the complexities of working effectively in this environment. A proactive self-starter, demonstrating high initiative and critical thinking Proven ability to think strategically with exceptional attention to detail in execution Positive, can-do attitude, with the ability to work with marketing and sales professionals, and ability to prioritize numerous projects simultaneously Excellent communication (written and verbal) understood by diverse and large audiences Knowledge of AI tools use for digital marketing, including the customer’s search-find-buy journey, and impact to strategies for paid search SEO, etc. Experience marketing components, primary packaging, containment systems, drug delivery systems, or engineered solutions for injectable therapeutics. Background in life sciences, biomedical engineering, materials science, or other technically complex industries. Exposure to global markets (North America, EMEA, APAC) and regional commercialization strategies. Experience supporting strategic accounts or top-tier pharmaceutical customers.
