Accountable for achieving a balance between profitability, market-share and customer service goals. What You’ll Be Doing: Develop, implement and manage regional procurement strategies, ensuring overall alignment with corporate objectives. Accountable for achieving EFR and margin targets. Maintain ongoing contact with the Territory Manager, Customer Account Representatives, Merchants, Manager, Grain Marketing and Facility Operations Managers. Create, implement and manage all regional grain procurement and marketing programs in conjunction with sales staff, operations staff and grain merchandising to achieve optimum financial results. Monitor profit and loss figures relating to grain marketing programs. Monitor business operating results against established budget objectives and priorities Accountable for the provision of real time information regarding on farm inventory, competitive pricing/programs, products that are available to the Regional Manager and Merchants. Responsible for the settlement of customer concerns and disputes within the region, internal and external to the company. Responsible for all aspects of the team’s human resource management including hiring, promoting, performance management and discharging within company policy. Lead, coach and manage the team to ensure excellence, awareness and commitment to the client, team and the department’s goals and objectives. Ensures all Customer Account Representatives training is current and continuing education is completed. Performs other duties as required. Skills/Experience Requirements: Minimum eight (8) years of demonstrated successful experience in the area of grain procurement. Three (3) years of this experience must have been in a mentorship capacity Post-secondary degree in Agriculture or Commerce. Equivalent combinations of education and experience that result in the required level of knowledge skill and competence will be considered. Commitment to supply safe food, maintain a food safety culture within the site, continually improve the site's food safety management system; and comply with customer and regulatory requirements.
