We are seeking a Process Engineer to join our team in Porto Corsini, supporting our production operations and driving continuous improvement. Role Overview Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you will oversee and optimize daily plant production, ensuring compliance with Bunge Italia’s quality, safety, and environmental standards. You will play a key role in improving performance, solving operational challenges, and supporting plant efficiency. In this role, you will coordinate daily activities across:10 Crushing Operators, 3 Refinery & Crushing Operators and 5 Shift Leaders Key Responsibilities Monitor daily production processes to ensure performance aligns with safety, quality, and operational standards Identify, analyze, and manage process deviations, coordinating corrective actions with Maintenance, Quality, Safety, and Production teams Supervise and support maintenance interventions at the operational level Track, analyze, and improve department KPIs, working closely with operators and shift leaders Actively contribute to continuous improvement and plant optimization projects Develop, update, and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) Train operators and shift supervisors on processes and procedures Manage inventory of consumables (e.g. chemicals), ensuring continuous production through effective stock control and reordering Maintain accurate records of production losses and ensure data entry in SAP Make data-driven decisions to improve plant performance and align with Bunge’s global strategy What We’re Looking For Education & Experience Degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or similar Experience not required, but exposure to industrial or continuous production environments is a plus Experience in industrial plants, mechanical or port environments is beneficial The salary range for this role is €44,000 - €50,000 gross per year, depending on the experience. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
