Role: CATO L2 Engineer Location: Mumbai/Bangalore The role focuses on enabling Zero Trust Network Access, replacing traditional VPN architectures, and ensuring secure, optimized connectivity for users and applications. Key Responsibilities 1. ZTNA Implementation & Management • Deploy and configure Cato ZTNA solutions for secure remote and branch access • Replace legacy VPN solutions with Zero Trust architecture • Configure identity-based access policies for users, devices, and applications • Implement client-based and clientless ZTNA access 2. Cato SASE Platform Administration • Manage Cato Management Application (CMA) • Configure and maintain: o SD-WAN policies o Security policies (FWaaS, IPS, CASB, SWG) o Traffic steering and network segmentation • Monitor network performance across global PoPs 3. Security & Access Control • Integrate with Identity Providers (IdP) such as: o Azure AD / Entra ID o Okta o ADFS • Implement multi-factor authentication (MFA) • Enforce least privilege access policies 4. Troubleshooting & Support • Diagnose issues related to: o User access failures o Tunnel connectivity o Application access via ZTNA • Perform packet analysis and traffic inspection • Provide L2/L3 support for production issues 5. Network & Connectivity • Configure and manage: o IPsec tunnels o Cato Socket deployments (physical/virtual) o Remote user clients (Windows, macOS, mobile) • Optimize application performance using WAN optimization 6. Monitoring & Reporting • Use Cato dashboards for: o Traffic analysis o Security events o User activity monitoring • Generate regular reports for compliance and management 7. Documentation & Compliance • Create and maintain: o Network diagrams o Standard operating procedures (SOPs) o Configuration documents • Support audits and compliance requirements Technical Skills • Strong experience with: o Cato Networks SASE platform (mandatory/preferred) o Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) concepts o SD-WAN technologies • Knowledge of networking fundamentals: o TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP o Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) • Experience with: o Firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco) o VPN technologies (IPsec, SSL VPN) • Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) Security Skills • Understanding of: o Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) o Identity & Access Management (IAM) o Secure Web Gateway (SWG) o CASB and DLP concepts Tools & Technologies • Cato Management Application • Wireshark / packet capture tools • SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel – nice to have) • Endpoint security integrations Candidate should be open 24/7 Here at Atos, diversity and inclusion are embedded in our DNA. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
